Global electronic producer TroyBoi has just dropped his long-awaited EP, ROOTZ, out now on Ultra Records. TroyBoi takes a deeply personal turn on this five-track project, blending his signature sound with influences from his Indian heritage and wider cultural background. Featuring collaborations with Jazzy B, Amrit Maan, and BombayMami, the EP serves as both a celebration of his roots and a step forward in his artistic evolution.

TroyBoi has officially unveiled his most personal project to date, “ROOTZ,” a five-track EP out now on Ultra Records. Known for his fusion of trap, bass, and global influence, TroyBoi uses this release to explore his heritage, blending modern electronic production with traditional Indian and Punjabi sound. With roots spanning Indian, Chinese, Portuguese, and Nigerian backgrounds, the project serves as both a musical journey and a tribute to South Asian culture.

The EP features a range of collaborations, including Punjabi-Canadian star Amrit Maan on the fiery track “Masala,” Indo-Swiss artist BombayMami on “Beggin,” and legendary Punjabi singer Jazzy B on the high-energy single “Okay.” One of the most personal tracks on the project, “Kabhi,” samples the voice of the late Lata Mangeshkar from the beloved Bollywood film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…, paying homage to the music TroyBoi grew up listening to with his mother. Rounding out the project is “Kamli,” a solo production that showcases his signature sound and deep emotional connection to his roots.

TroyBoi, who has built a devoted following in India after multiple sold-out tours, sees ROOTZ as more than just a collection of songs, it is a statement of identity and a bridge between cultures. “This EP is about staying true to where you come from,” he shares. “I wanted to honor the music I grew up with while bringing it into a modern space for the world to experience.” With ROOTZ now available worldwide, TroyBoi continues to push the boundaries of electronic music while inspiring the next generation of global artists to embrace and celebrate their heritage.
