AlphaTheta announces new cloud based platform OneLibrary
AlphaTheta has announced OneLibrary, a new cloud-based platform that merges music collections between major DJ applications rekordbox, DJay, and Traktor. An upgrade on Rekordbox’s Device Library Plus, the library aims to make it easier for DJs to manage, sync, and update their music libraries without needing to manually export or re-import playlists between platforms.
With OneLibrary, users can organize their tracks in one central location and access the same collection across these products. The system automatically updates playlists, cue points, and metadata. AlphaTheta has designed this to standardize the workflow for the growing number of DJs who use different devices for performance, preparation, and streaming.
In practice, the new cloud library eliminates the need to manage separate databases for each app. A DJ can prepare playlists in rekordbox on a computer, then access the same information through Traktor on a mobile device or via connected AlphaTheta hardware. Company CEO and President Yoshinori Kataoka said, “At AlphaTheta, our mission is to empower DJs to express themselves freely, without limitations We’re grateful to our industry partners for sharing that vision and coming on board with this initiative.”
OneLibrary will roll out first for rekordbox, allowing users to sync playlists, tracks, and metadata across devices through AlphaTheta’s cloud system. Further details, including rollout plans and compatibility updates, are expected in the coming months.
