Eventide Blackhole is now 80% off in IMSTA Plugin Boutique Sale
Eventide’s Blackhole reverb plugin is now available for $39 as part of the IMSTA Sale on Plugin Boutique, running until October 22. The plugin, which normally sells for $199, is one of Eventide’s most recognized creative reverbs and known for its ability to turn simple sounds into vast spatial ones.
Eventide has a long history in professional audio, with roots going back to the 1970s and classic gear like the H3000 Harmonizer. Blackhole originally appeared as part of that hardware lineage before being reworked into a plugin. It’s not built for subtle mix work but for those moments when a sound needs to stretch into something abstract or cinematic.
Blackhole’s design centers on a few core controls that define its character. The Gravity parameter alters how the reverb tail behaves, creating reverse-like effects or massive decays. The Size and Feedback knobs change how echoes build up, creating deep and sometimes unpredictable sounds, while the modulation section adds movement and depth. There’s also a Kill Switch for quick creative drops and a Mix Lock feature to keep wet/dry balance steady when browsing presets.
Though the plugin has been around for a while, it continues to be a go-to for producers working in electronic, ambient, or film music. With the current IMSTA Sale, Blackhole becomes more accessible to those curious about Eventide’s approach to reverb design. The IMSTA Sale runs until October 22 on Plugin Boutique.
