Seth Troxler seeks help in Ibiza flood cleanup
Seth Troxler has called on Ibiza residents to help him rescue his extensive vinyl collection after severe flooding damaged thousands of records. The DJ and producer revealed that tropical Storm Alice submerged roughly half of his 12,000-piece archive, causing widespread destruction across the island.
In an Instagram Story, later reshared by I’ve Got It On Vinyl, Troxler described the emotional toll of trying to clean and preserve his collection. “Most of my record collection was basically nearly destroyed in the flood,” he said. “I was just with my wife and some people trying to clean them and save stuff, but it’s too emotional… it’s fucking me up.”
To recover what remains, Troxler is offering €10 per hour to anyone willing to assist him in cleaning, drying, and salvaging the damaged records. “If you love records and would love to clean an incredible collection and try to save some really beautiful covers, please reach out to me,” he wrote, encouraging locals to join the effort.
The flooding has left a lasting mark on the White Isle’s creative community, with homes, businesses, and even venues such as Tomodachi temporarily shuttered. Despite the damage, Troxler’s response shows his determination to preserve a personal archive built over decades of collecting and performing.
For Ibiza’s music lovers, helping Seth Troxler restore his records isn’t just cleanup work-it’s a way to help safeguard a piece of dance music history.
