Eric Prydz follows Calvin Harris in filing lawsuit against Thomas St. John

Being a world-class producer and DJ requires a large team to handle many of the business and financial areas that come with the role. Eric Prydz has taken issue and filed a lawsuit against his own business manager, claiming fraud.

In recent months, several prominent DJs have looked into their accounts and found discrepancies regarding the actions of their businesses and their financial management. Following in the footsteps of fellow producer Calvin Harris, Eric Prydz, who was also a client of Thomas St. John, will also file a lawsuit against the Hollywood business manager. Prydz’s lawsuit, though significantly smaller than the $22.5 million Harris claims he was defrauded of, still alleges that over $269,000 was stolen from him. The Call On Me producer has been a client of St. Johns since 2012, but recently signed a new contract in 2023, from which he says the fraud stems.

In the complaint, Eric Prydz claims that St. John paid himself for services that were not approved and out of the scope of their current contract, and then held Prydz’s tax forms while demanding $150,000 before he would submit the files. The recently filed complaint states, “Unfortunately for Prydz, he is a victim of TSJ’s pattern of conduct. This case arises from TSJ stealing no less than $250,000 from Prydz, maliciously refusing to timely complete a tax return for Prydz after promising, in writing, he would, and withholding Prydz’s personal financial information from Prydz, his team and his new business advisors and thus maliciously preventing Prydz from addressing tax requirements.”
