FKA twigs releases new album ‘EUSEXUA Afterglow’ with global rave livestreams: Listen
FKA twigs has released ‘EUSEXUA Afterglow’, her highly anticipated new album arriving today via Young Recordings / Atlantic Records. Moreover, after hosting a late-night rave at Brooklyn’s Car Park to celebrate the release, she now announces two livestreamed raves in Toronto and London, where fans can hear the album in full alongside sets from local underground DJs.
Initially framed as a deluxe edition to ‘EUSEXUA’, the project has since evolved into a standalone body of work. Furthermore, ‘Afterglow’ extends the world she built on her Mercury-shortlisted, GRAMMY-nominated album, which explored how rave culture can inspire transformation. Here, she shifts the lens to the hours after the rave — the moment when the music lingers in your body even after the room goes silent.
As the album unfolds, ‘Afterglow’ leans into fractured techno, playful rhythms, and derelict textures that reflect the haziness of the early hours. Additionally, twigs channels every chapter of her artistic evolution: the dancefloor devotion of EUSEXUA, the melodic looseness of CAPRISONGS, the emotional honesty of MAGDALENE, the sensuality of LP1, and the waviness of her early EPs.
This new era began in Seoul, where she hosted an intimate listening party followed by a sold-out rave that premiered “Cheap Hotel” and “Predictable Girl.” Later, she joined PinkPantheress at PC Music’s Halloween rave in New York to debut the track live in the U.S. and tease their collaboration “Wild and Alone,” which now appears on the album.
Ultimately, ‘EUSEXUA Afterglow’ deepens twigs’ self-defined concept of eusexua – the moment of pure focus and surrender that shaped her April 2024 British Vogue cover story – while pushing her into bold new territory. Stream the album on Spotify below or via your preferred platform here.
