Madonna releases Bedtime Stories – The Untold Chapter EP: Listen

Madonna expands the world of her iconic era with the release of ‘Bedtime Stories – The Untold Chapter’, an eight-track EP celebrating the 30th anniversary of her 1994 album. Although Bedtime Stories already stands as one of her most forward-thinking records, this companion project offers a deeper look into how its R&B-driven sound took shape. Moreover, the collection arrives with early demos, alternate versions, and rare mixes that highlight a creative period defined by reinvention.

The EP arrives today on limited black vinyl and digital platforms, giving longtime fans several formats to explore. Additionally, black vinyl orders from Madonna.com and Rhino.com include exclusive postcards, while a deluxe 2CD version pairs the original album with the new EP and a 20-page booklet featuring lyrics and illustrations. These editions create a complete retrospective for a milestone moment in her catalogue.

To shape the project, Madonna worked closely with Stuart Price, the producer behind Confessions on a Dance Floor. Together, they edited and mixed the material into a polished, cohesive release. Furthermore, the artwork draws from previously unseen images shot by Paolo Roversi in 1994, connecting the new chapter to the visual DNA of the era.

Alongside the EP, the original Bedtime Stories album returns today on silver vinyl with exclusive posters available through select retailers. The 1994 record, which produced hits like ‘Take a Bow’, ‘Secret’, and ‘Human Nature’, went on to sell more than seven million copies worldwide and remains one of the most adventurous releases in her catalogue.

Earlier this month, Madonna also honored the 20th anniversary of Confessions on a Dance Floor with a digital deluxe edition, further underscoring her commitment to preserving and reimagining her legacy for new listeners. Stream the EP on Spotify below or via your preferred platform here.
