Swedish pop visionary Robyn makes her long-awaited return with ‘Dopamine’, her first new music in over seven years. Now, released via Young, the single reunites her with longtime collaborator Klas Åhlund, and together they mark the beginning of a brand-new chapter for one of modern pop’s most influential figures.

After reshaping electronic pop with albums like Body Talk and Honey, Robyn now turns inward, exploring the raw chemistry of emotion itself. Moreover, ‘Dopamine’ captures the intoxicating blur between love and biology – that heady high when emotion floods your body and reason begins to dissolve. Finally, driven by pulsing synths and an electrifying rhythm, the track mirrors the thrill and tension of the feeling it describes: euphoric yet fleeting, real yet imagined.

Speaking about the song, Robyn explains, “Everyone has a phone where they see their heart rate, and we’re learning how to decode our emotions through the hormones and chemical substances in our bodies… The doubleness of Dopamine is having an emotion that’s super real and intense, while knowing it’s also just a biological process.”

The single arrives alongside a mesmerizing performance video directed by Marili Andre, who also shot the artwork. With its bold visuals and emotional depth, ‘Dopamine’ reaffirms Robyn’s place as a true innovator – blending science, soul, and sound into pure pop alchemy.

‘Dopamine’ is out now on all major streaming platforms via Young here.
