Skrillex and Diplo recorded a second Jack Ü album

When Skrillex and Diplo came together for Jack Ü over a decade ago, the duo immediately became global stars and festival mainstays. Unfortunately the project quietly dissipated but Diplo is continuing to share more information about the group.

Although fans would certainly love to hear what the duo created, it is unlikely to ever see a release, Diplo went on to say, “Skrillex hates me… it’s a real kind of crazy hate that I just can’t understand,” he said. “I don’t really know what is the real issue but we tried out some mediation—I tried, there’s none on his side. But I just love the guy, you know. We were like brothers.” It’s unfortunate as fans certainly would have loved to see how two such prominent musical forces would evolve, especially with Diplo stating, “We were really a good combo because I have real wild, out-of-pocket ideas for pop music and he just is—nobody’s better than him at creating sound that just sounds like ‘what the fuck.’”
