Skrillex drops new EP ‘hit me where it hurts x’ featuring Dylan Brady, Caroline Polachek & more: Listen

Skrillex just expanded one of his most talked-about eras, releasing the full hit me where it hurts x EP. The project digs deeper into standout moments from his acclaimed album FCK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3*, and arrives one week after he unveiled the EP’s title track with Dylan Brady and Caroline Polachek. Polachek recorded fresh vocals specifically for this reimagined version, which already sparked major excitement online.

Skrillex set the tone for the EP last month when he dropped ‘fuze’ with ISOxo, shortly after their explosive b2b at Niteharts Festival captured the attention of the entire dance scene. As listeners move through the five-track release, they’ll notice a lineup filled with familiar creative partners, including Nakeesha, Virtual Riot, Varg2™, and others who continue to shape Skrillex’s newest sonic chapter.

The focus track, ‘Voltage (See You Again)’, brings things full circle. Skrillex revisits the GRAMMY-nominated piece he first wrote in 2010 and transforms it into a modern, high-impact production. He rebuilt the song with brand-new vocals from himself and the original collaborators, using today’s sound design to reshape one of his earliest career touchstones.

The EP follows major momentum for Skrillex, especially as he enters the 2026 GRAMMYs with nominations for Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Dance/Electronic Recording tied to FCK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3* and ‘VOLTAGE’.
