The Weeknd has officially become the male solo artist with the highest-grossing tour in history as his ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ stadium run crosses the $1 billion mark. Reported on 21 November 2025, the record-breaking figure follows more than 7.5 million tickets sold across multiple continents, including stadium dates in North America, Europe, Latin America and Australia.

Launching in 2022 and backed by Live Nation, the ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ tour combines The Weeknd’s atmospheric R&B sound with production on a massive scale. According to Live Nation president Omar Al-Joulani, the feat “is a true reflection of his artistry and impact.” Notably, the tour’s recent expansion into new markets helped push the milestone across the billion-dollar threshold.

Despite a vocal setback in September 2022 when The Weeknd lost his voice mid-set at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, he persevered and carried his show to sold-out arenas worldwide. That resilience strengthens his legacy as an artist who thrives under immense pressure while continually growing his global reach.

The record matters, but so does the mission behind it. By partnering with charities such as Global Citizen, the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and the UN World Food Programme, The Weeknd channels £1 per UK ticket, €1 from Europe and equivalent donations from other territories into humanitarian work.

At a time when live music continues to evolve post-pandemic, The Weeknd’s achievement sets a benchmark that only a handful of acts could approach. His combination of pop-culture relevance, streaming dominance and stadium staging now places him among the most commercially successful touring artists ever.
