George Michael ‘FAITH’ returns as limited-edition vinyl reissue in 2026

George Michael groundbreaking debut album ‘FAITH’ will return to vinyl on 20th February 2026, marking its first physical pressing in more than a decade. Released through George Michael Entertainment and Sony Music, the anniversary collection offers multiple limited-edition formats, including a Picture Disc exclusive to the official store, a red-and-black marble vinyl, and standard 1LP and 2LP black vinyl editions, alongside an audio Blu-Ray.

As this new chapter arrives, the reissue celebrates an album that reshaped global pop culture. Blending soul, R&B, and rock with a bold, personal voice, ‘FAITH’ positioned the then-24-year-old George Michael as one of the world’s defining solo artists. Furthermore, the album became a commercial phenomenon, outselling Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Prince, earning a GRAMMY® Award for Album of the Year, and delivering four Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles: ‘Faith’, ‘Father Figure’, ‘One More Try’, and ‘Monkey’.

Written, arranged, performed, and produced almost entirely by George Michael, the album went on to sell more than 25 million copies worldwide and topped charts in over ten countries. Additionally, its iconic imagery, particularly the leather-jacket-and-guitar motif from the ‘Faith’ video, defined the MTV era and influenced generations of artists.

To mark the reissue, the vinyl edition embraces environmentally conscious manufacturing. Pressed on Biovinyl, produced from renewable sources, the release uses FSC-certified packaging, vegetable-based inks, and long-life protective polybags. Production partner Optimal Media contributes to regional conservation initiatives, while the CD edition features 90% recycled polycarbonate and sustainable packaging from Sonopress.
