Arguably one of the most influential figures within the dance scene, Axwell (real name Axel Christofer Hedfors) has just turned 48 years old (18/12/1977), and in a celebratory fashion, we will be looking back at some of the iconic anthems that he has blessed us with throughout his illustrious career. From the early beginnings with various remixes, to his breakthrough in the early naughties, and of course, the formation of the legendary Swedish House Mafia group alongside Seqbastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello, this one act that has and will continue to leave a lasting impact within our community.

Celebrating his 48th birthday today, we look back at our favourite Axwell anthems throughout the years.

A musical pioneer in his own right, Axwell is responsible for some of the greatest dance music anthems to exist, and with the list growing on the constant, it is always a difficult but rewarding task in pinpointing our favourite moments from this multifaceted act. Timeless classics left right and centre, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso’s ‘Together’ created a movement in its own right, whilst ‘Nothing But Love,’ ‘Tokyo By Night (Axwell Remix)’ and the ever-so infectious Axwell Λ Ingrosso track, ‘I Love You,’ have all cemented his status as the ultimate of artists within the entertainment industry as a whole. 

Remarkable to say the very least, Axwell has become a synonym with everything our community stands for, and as he celebrates his 48th birthday, we would like to wish the legend himself all the happiness in the world, and here’s to many more anthems that defy generation after generation of dance music lovers.
