UN Launches ‘HARMONY’, electronic music album for 80th anniversary celebration: Listen
The UN Chamber Music Society unveiled HARMONY, its first-ever global electronic music album and virtual concert, marking the 80th anniversary of the United Nations. The project launched worldwide on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, streamed directly via UN Web TV and the UN Global YouTube channel, positioning electronic music as a unifying cultural force on a global stage.
Rather than presenting electronic music in its traditional club-driven form, HARMONY reimagined the genre through lush orchestral arrangements, newly composed and performed by the musicians of the UN Chamber Music Society. In doing so, the project highlighted electronic music as a universal language capable of transcending borders, cultures, and politics—closely aligning with the UN’s core mission of peace, cooperation, and shared humanity.
The album featured orchestral reinterpretations of works by globally influential electronic artists, including ARTBAT, Paul van Dyk, Kiesza, KSHMR, Lachi, Francis Mercier, Mr Tout Le Monde, Sultan + Shepard, and Julio Victoria. Each contribution reflected a different regional and cultural perspective, reinforcing the album’s theme of global unity through sound.
Founded in 2016 by Brenda Vongova, the UN Chamber Music Society has long used music as a bridge for diplomacy and cultural dialogue. With HARMONY, that vision expanded further into contemporary electronic music culture.
Importantly, 100% of streaming revenue from the album will be donated to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, thereby ensuring the project delivers tangible humanitarian impact alongside its artistic message. Meanwhile, the album is now available across all major streaming platforms worldwide.
