Adam K & Soha’s ‘Need To Feel Loved’ remix climbs Beatport Top 100 again
Adam K & Soha’s iconic remix of Reflekt’s ‘Need To Feel Loved’ has climbed back into the Beatport Top 100, proving once again that timeless records don’t follow normal release cycles. Moreover, the renewed momentum shows how the right remix can outlive eras, trends, and entire waves of dance music.

Originally released in 2004, ‘Need To Feel Loved’ marked the debut single from English electronic duo Reflekt, featuring vocals from Delline Bass. The track quickly made its mark in the UK, reaching No. 14 on the UK Singles Chart and hitting No. 1 on the UK Dance Singles Chart in March 2005. Additionally, it gained wider cultural visibility through its inclusion in the film ‘It’s All Gone Pete Tong’, helping cement its place in mid-2000s club history.
However, the version many ravers still associate with the record arrived later. In 2009, the track returned with a new remix package, led by the Adam K & Soha Vocal Mix, first released as a limited digital exclusive before landing on vinyl. While it didn’t chart as a standalone single, the remix grew into an enduring progressive house and trance favourite, earning support from key tastemakers including Pete Tong, Judge Jules, and Above & Beyond.
Part of the record’s emotional weight also comes from its cinematic DNA, as the original track samples ‘Ghosts’ from Thomas Newman’s soundtrack to the 2002 film ‘Road to Perdition’. As a result, the song carries a rare mix of club drive and melancholic atmosphere that still hits today.
Now, with Beatport pushing it back into the spotlight, ‘Need To Feel Loved’ continues to prove one thing, classics always find their way home.
