Alok rings in 2026 with record setting show in Rio de Janeiro
Ringing in a New Year is a major event for many worldwide as they look for entertainment, camaraderie, and joy in looking forward to a new chapter. In Brazil, Alok took the stage for a record-breaking performance that revealed the power of community within the nation and the collective energy of music.

As incredible as this growth has been, Alok found himself in front of a crowd of indescribable size as he rang in 2026. Filled with an incredible stage setup, plenty of lights and lasers, and of course a drone show, the Brazilian DJ and producer delivered his set to a record-breaking 2.5 million people in Rio de Janeiro.
The large audience quickly propels Alok into elite company and amongst the most attended events in human history. Although still a million attendees away from Rod Stewart’s appearance on the same Copacabana Beach in 1994, he joins Jean-Michel Jarre at the number three spot on this incredible list. Brazil is renowned for its culture and atmosphere, especially its love of dance and festivity, and fans showed up en masse for their countryman.
