AlphaTheta DJM-V5 Announced: Compact 3-Channel Mixer with Wireless Monitoring

AlphaTheta has introduced the DJM-V5 at the NAMM Show 2026, a new 3-channel DJ mixer designed to bring the sound quality and creative control of the DJM-V10 into a more compact format. Aimed at DJs playing in space-constrained booths or flexible setups, the DJM-V5 combines refined sound shaping, advanced effects, and built-in wireless monitoring.

DJM-V10 Design Philosophy in a Smaller Footprint

The DJM-V5 is directly inspired by the DJM-V10, AlphaTheta’s flagship 6-channel club mixer. While the DJM-V5 features a 30% smaller footprint, it retains key performance elements such as a 4-band EQ, compressor, filter section, and Send FX, allowing for precise and expressive mixing without compromise.

Long-throw 60 mm channel faders, taken from the DJM-V10-LF, ensure accurate level control, while the new Soft Mix Curve mode subtly smooths high frequencies when fading, enabling more natural transitions.

Creative Effects and Advanced Filtering

The DJM-V5 offers six Send FX: Short Delay, Reverb, Shimmer, Tape Echo, PingPong, and Echo-Verb. Each channel features a dedicated send knob, allowing DJs to apply effects intuitively per track. BPM-synced tactile clicks on time-based effects enable precise rhythmic control, while smoother effects allow fine, continuous adjustment.

Each channel also includes a dedicated filter knob with three filter modes: low-pass, high-pass, and the new cross-pass filter, making its debut on an AlphaTheta mixer. This allows DJs to shape mids and highs while preserving low-end energy.

Built-In SonicLink Wireless Monitoring

The DJM-V5 is the first DJ mixer with a built-in SonicLink transmitter, enabling ultra-low-latency wireless monitoring when paired with compatible headphones such as the HDJ-F10.

PRO DJ LINK and Flexible Connectivity

With PRO DJ LINK support, the DJM-V5 integrates seamlessly with compatible CDJ players and rekordbox, enabling BPM-synced effects, Link Cue previewing, and instant recall of personal mixer settings via USB or rekordbox.

Connectivity includes rear and top-panel USB-C ports, support for rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro (license required), DVS functionality, USB send/return for external effects, and compatibility with mobile devices for recording and live streaming.
