Deep Dish return to Global Underground with ‘#GU49 Dublin’
Deep Dish make a landmark return to Global Underground with ‘#GU49 Dublin’, completing a trilogy that defined the label’s City Series legacy. Moreover, the announcement lands exactly 25 years after the duo teamed up with Global Underground for ‘#GU21 Moscow’, before delivering the genre-defining ‘#GU25 Toronto’.
This May, Sharam and Dubfire close that chapter with a release that leans fully into narrative-driven DJ storytelling. Furthermore, ‘#GU49 Dublin’ delivers a focused masterclass in mixing, reinforcing why Global Underground albums remain collector staples rather than just another compilation. Each transition reflects the duo’s long-standing approach to timeless selection over trend-led programming.
Alongside the mix, ‘#GU49 Dublin’ includes an album-exclusive Deep Dish remix of Moderat’s ‘Eating Hooks’, which will also land as a standalone single on 1 May. Additionally, fans in Ireland already got a taste of what’s coming, as the sold-out #GU49 Dublin launch party takes place at Index Dublin on Friday 30 January, marking one of the duo’s most anticipated club appearances in recent years.
Reflecting on the project, Deep Dish said: “Global Underground was foundational for us… each compilation served as a musical time-capsule.” Meanwhile, Andy Horsfield, founder of Global Underground, emphasised the importance of the reunion and described working with the duo again as an honour, rooted in Dublin’s vibrant club culture.
Deep Dish will perform a first-ever B2B set with Armin van Buuren during A State of Trance’s 25-year anniversary. The historic collaboration goes down at the official ASOT 25 celebration in Rotterdam on 27 February 2026, adding another milestone to the landmark event.
