Headphones or Speaker? This CES 2026 Launch Does Both in One Device

While the big players continue to roll out newer, improved products, quite a few startups and new consumer electronics firms will also be present at CES 2026. One of these firms, Tomorrow Doesn’t Matter (TDM) is debuting a new device: Headphones that turn into speakers. Named Neo, the device looks like normal wireless headphones at first. It claims to have upto 200 hours of battery life, uses two 40 mm wires in each earcup, and has Bluetooth 6 and Auracast support.

This CES 2026 debut rethinks headphones by turning them into a portable speaker in seconds.

Upon a closer look, however, it comes with a flexible headband. This headband, when rolled over, converts the headphones into a speaker. Now, you have headphones that work as a speaker. When the headphones are converted to a speaker, the internal drivers shut off and the external drivers turn on. This allows seamless conversion from headphones to speakers and vice versa. The features remain the same for the features except for battery life, which dramatically reduces to just 10 hours when converted.

While the Neo sits amongst the more premium headphones showcased at CES 2026, it doesn’t come with Active Noise Cancellation. Instead, it relies on passive isolation from the cushions in the earcups, which could be a letdown for audiophiles and enthusiasts. Priced at $249, the TDM Neo will be available soon in White and Black color options.
