KORG announces new Filter Ark filter design tool
Korg always goes big at NAMM every year and this year’s announcements have started pouring in. The KORG Collection series is known for being able to recreate the company’s most well-known instruments using its Component Modeling Technology (CMT). The newly introduced Filter Ark uses this approach by making filters the main creative elements. This newly launched filter design tool works by combining modelled classic filters with modern filter types.
Filter Ark allows users to combine up to four filters at the same time, allowing for more experimentation than traditional single or dual filter designs. Vintage-style filters can be layered with modern designs, helping users to create unique sounds and effects. Additionally, it supports flexible routing and blending, allowing users to stack, mix, and modulate filters the way they like. A built-in modulation system includes LFOs, an Envelope Follower, and a Step Sequencer.
Priced for now at $49, Filter Ark for Mac and PC will eventually be available for $99. It is also included as part of KORG Collection 6. Users who already own the bundle can access it by updating to the latest version of KORG Software Pass. To mark the release, KORG is running a limited-time sale offering discounts of up to 50 percent across selected products, including KORG Collection 6 and several native instruments. The promotion runs until January 29, 2026.
