The body of DJ and MC Maycon Douglas is found after several days

Following several days of searching and concern, the body of 25-year-old DJ and Reality TV star Maycon Douglas has been discovered. He had initially been reported as missing on December 31st to Portugal’s National Maritime Authority.

After several days of worry and concern, the body of Maycon Douglas was found near the Nazaré lighthouse at São Miguel Arcanjo, several feet away from where his car was discovered, submerged in 20 feet of water on New Year’s Day. When the car was first found, it was empty, with only Maycon’s jacket inside, leaving authorities unsure what to make of the scene. The night before, friends confirmed that he had left a Nazaré bar where he worked as a DJ before supposedly heading home. Maycon worked as a DJ and Producer and starred on season 8 of the Portugal reality show, Secret Story – Casa dos Segredos.

As of this writing, Portuguese officials have not released a cause of death, but arrangements have been made for funeral services. Maycon Douglas was laid to rest on Sunday, January 11th, in Leiria, Portugal. The service was attended by family, friends, and co-workers, and Douglas’ co-star and girlfriend, Raquel Coelho, shared this statement on social media, “I’d give anything to have you back.” But now that he is gone, Maycon will “be forever with me and in me, I take you everywhere, unfortunately not in the way I idealized, but in the way life wanted.”
