Native Instruments CEO Says “Business as Usual” Amid Insolvency Proceedings

Home Featured Native Instruments CEO Says “Business as Usual” Amid Insolvency Proceedings

Native Instruments CEO Nick Williams has issued a public statement addressing growing concerns following recent court filings that placed Native Instruments GmbH and several holding entities into pre-insolvency restructuring proceedings in Germany.

Williams moved quickly to reassure customers, partners, and creators that day-to-day operations across the Native Instruments ecosystem remain unaffected. According to the statement, business continues as usual across Native Instruments, iZotope, Plugin Alliance, and Brainworx, with products still available for sale, downloads functioning normally, and development teams continuing work on upcoming releases and features.

Our hardware and software products remain on sale and available for download and activation,” Williams said. Our passionate and dedicated teams are here and supporting customers as normal.

He also confirmed that core operational units, including product development, engineering, and the NKS Partnerships program, remain fully active. Kontakt Player licensing and partner submissions continue to be processed, signaling continuity across one of Native Instruments’ most widely used platforms.

The reassurance follows earlier disclosures that Native Instruments GmbH, along with three German non-operating holding companies, has entered a formal restructuring process under German law. These filings initiated preliminary insolvency-style proceedings designed to stabilize finances while allowing operations to continue.

Williams framed the move as a proactive step toward long-term sustainability rather than a shutdown scenario.

“We are working diligently and responsibly to secure a healthy, financially sustainable future for Native Instruments,” he stated.

While the restructuring process places parts of the corporate structure under court oversight, operational subsidiaries and product divisions appear to remain outside the proceedings for now. This distinction is crucial for users concerned about product access, ongoing support, and future development.

In recent days, Plugin Alliance and Brainworx management also issued separate communications confirming that their entities are not part of the insolvency filings and continue operating normally.

Williams closed his message on a personal note, emphasizing his long-standing connection to the brand and its creative mission.

I’m a lifelong musician myself, and have been a passionate fan of Native Instruments for 25 years. Our mission to inspire and enable creators to express themselves through sound continues.

As the situation develops, further updates from the company are expected.
