Plugin Alliance Breaks Silence After Native Instruments Group Insolvency Filing
Earlier this week, court orders revealed that Native Instruments Group GmbH has filed for insolvency in Berlin. The Charlottenburg Court shall be overseeing the preliminary insolvency proceedings with insolvency specialist Prof. Dr. Torsten Martini as provisional administrator. Native Instuments is the parent company of iZotope, Plugin Alliance and Brainworx. Naturally, this leads to questions about the futures of these companies.
To clarify, Plugin Alliance and Brainworx MD Mo Volans has spoken. On the Plugin Alliance Audiophiles – a private Facebook group with around 36k members – he issued a statement. His statement reads as follows:
“As of today, Plugin Alliance entities are not part of the insolvency filing. Our operations in Langenfeld and the US remain outside these proceedings. For now – It’s business as usual. We continue to operate normally – product releases, support, installers and all other activities continue unchanged. We’ll share further updates as the situation develops. I hope this helps – we remain dedicated to our partners and customers!”
This statement brings clarity to customers after the midweek bombshell. What remains to happen in the long term remains to be seen, but positives for Plugin Alliance users can be taken from this statement.
Update: Native Instruments CEO issues a statement about operations.
