Robyn announces new album ‘Sexistential’ and drops two new singles: Listen

Finally, generational pop icon Robyn has officially announced her ninth studio album, ‘Sexistential’, set for release on March 27, 2026 via Young. At the same time, she shared two brand-new singles today, ‘Talk To Me’ and ‘Sexistential’, offering the clearest look yet at her boldest creative chapter in years.

After the introspective club meditations of 2018’s ‘Honey’, Robyn now pivots toward something more playful, physical, and ecstatic. ‘Sexistential’ features nine pop-driven tracks that reconnect with the emotional immediacy and kinetic energy that defined her era-shaping ‘Body Talk’ trilogy. Robyn describes the album as feeling like “a spaceship coming through the atmosphere at a really high speed and crash landing”, a return inward after years of searching outward.

Co-produced primarily with longtime collaborator Klas Åhlund, the album leans into punchy structures and sensual confidence. Robyn frames pleasure, vulnerability, and desire as creative fuel, blurring the line between emotional expression and physical sensation. What began as an internal joke soon became the album’s defining concept, capturing exactly where she stands today.

To celebrate the announcement, Robyn unveiled two new singles. ‘Talk To Me’, produced by Åhlund and Oscar Holter and co-written with Max Martin, delivers pure pop exhilaration with modern edge. Meanwhile, the title track ‘Sexistential’ pushes boundaries even further, transforming deeply personal experiences into fearless, sharp storytelling. Robyn will perform ‘Sexistential’ tonight on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, marking another defining moment in this new era.
