Swedish House Mafia pay tribute to Avicii during New Years show
Closing out another year, the Swedish House Mafia delighted fans in Northern California with two nights of entertainment. For their show on New Year’s Eve, the iconic trio paid tribute to a fallen producer in epic fashion.
Since the Swedish House Mafia completed their massive Paradise Again World Tour, its members have crafted a new way forward for both the group and their individual careers. In the time since, the trio has trickled out several incredible singles, but has limited their appearances on stage. Its members, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello, have created their own label/management company, and they have been busy delivering solo releases and performances, alongside special b2b sets, in the years since. The growing activity seems to be just what the three need as the Swedish House Mafia appear to be as strong as ever and showcased their collective power in San Francisco, CA, to ring in 2026.
As the countdown to the new year began, fans in San Francisco were fully locked in to the already hit-filled set from the trio. With the balloons still falling from the ceiling, the members launched into one of the most famed songs in dance music, Levels from Avicii. The producer’s name has been receiving extra attention lately, as a newly released YouTube documentary series, Stories on Stories, has just concluded. There has also been a lot of talk from his former manager, Ash Pournouri, who has revealed that he will head to court to unveil the truth about the late producer. Of course, none of this takes away from the euphoria of hearing Levels in the midst of a Swedish House Mafia New Year’s Eve set!
