ZHU announces ‘BLACK MIDAS’ album and drops title track: Listen

ZHU has announced a new album titled ‘BLACK MIDAS’, set to arrive on 20 March 2026, while launching the era with the project’s title track ‘BLACK MIDAS’, out now. Moreover, the Grammy-nominated producer framed the record as a return to the dancefloor-first foundations that helped define his early sound.

Alongside the release, ZHU also shared a short film shot in Istanbul, Turkey, directed by Luke Jaden, adding a visual layer to the project’s darker late-night aesthetic. Additionally, the rollout follows an active 2025 that saw ZHU deepen his presence across global club and festival circuits, building on his BLACKLIZT nightlife concept and shaping the direction of this new body of work.

Over the past year, ZHU appeared in standout moments that ranged from shared sets with Mathame in Bogotá to joining deadmau5 on Coachella’s Quazar stage. At the same time, he delivered surprise pop-ups after Bonnaroo’s weather shutdown in Nashville, played venues like Brooklyn Store House in New York City, and hit festivals including Lightning In A Bottle. He also shared stages with Paul Kalkbrenner and Mahmut Orhan, while taking headline slots at Istanbul’s VW Arena and London’s Drumsheds.

ZHU said: “In the beginning my music was intended for the dancefloor… For me, BLACK MIDAS is a return to why I first made music.” He added that the album speaks to both his core audience and today’s wider dance community.
