Ableton Live 12.4 Public Beta Now Live with Link Audio and Push MIDI Mapping
Ableton has launched the official public beta for Live 12.4. The update introduces Link Audio, a new feature that allows users to stream real-time audio between devices on the same local network. Incoming audio appears directly as an input in Live, removing the need for extra cables, interfaces, or manual latency compensation.
Erosion has been redesigned with real-time spectrum visualization and smoother blending options and is now available on Move and Note. Chorus-Ensemble adds more delay controls, while Delay comes with new LFO time modes and waveforms. Stem Separation has also been improved, allowing users to process selected parts of clips, merge stems onto a single track, and track progress through a single status bar.
Live 12.4 replaces the Help View with a new Learn View, offering structured tutorials that combine video and written guidance. Lessons can be viewed inside Live or in a another floating window, with progress tracking.
Push, Move and Note and have also received updates as part of the Live 12.4 public beta. Push now supports MIDI mapping directly from the hardware and Max for Live control. Move and Note 2.0 introduce audio tracks, direct recording options and improved warping. Link Audio on Move and Note allows audio to be shared to other devices on the network, including individual tracks.
