A 2026 Winter Olympics special, French ice dance duo Evgeniia Lopareva and Geoffrey Bridesmaid performed their routine under a mix of Eiffel 65’s ‘I’m Blue’ and Daft Punk ‘Around The World.’

With the 2026 Winter Olympics way under way in Milano Cortina, it was a French ice skate duo that brought dance music directly into the occasion, as Evgeniia Lopareva and Geoffrey Brissaud opted to perform their ‘Rhythm Dance’ routine under a mix of Eiffel 65’s 1999 classic ‘I’m Blue’ and Daft Punk 1997 wonder hit ‘Around The World.’

A legendary decision if you may ask us, each of the performing ice skate teams would have to complete this specific routine under the theme of ‘The Music, Dance Styles and Feeling of the 1990s,’ as specifically selected by the International Skating Union (ISU). With the music choices ranging from Madonna to the Spice Girls, and of course, the aforementioned iconic dance acts, both sports and music fans alike were in for a treat.

Entertaining to say the very least, this actually wasn’t the first time that dance music was in the forefront, as the USA Ice Dance team of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing also performed whilst playing segments of tracks from Daft Punk’s ‘Random Access Memories’ album. A stellar choice once again, be sure to check out the clips from the French duo’s ice skate routine below, whilst listening to some absolute classics. Enjoy!
