Home News ODESZA leave Wasserman Agency amid growing artist exodus

ODESZA have announced their departure from the Wasserman Agency, citing recent developments surrounding CEO Casey Wasserman. In a public statement shared via Instagram, the duo wrote, “In light of recent news about Casey Wasserman, we have decided to leave the Wasserman Agency.” They further stated that they “cannot continue to be associated with a company that fails to hold those in power accountable for their actions.”

The duo, composed of Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight – formed in 2012 in Bellingham, Washington. Since then, they have earned multiple Grammy nominations, including recognition for A Moment Apart and The Last Goodbye, while also building their own imprint, Foreign Family Collective. Over the past decade, they have established themselves as one of electronic music’s most commercially and critically recognized acts.

However, ODESZA exit forms part of a much larger movement. In recent days, artists including Lane 8, Above & Beyond, and Subtronics have also confirmed they left Wasserman. Meanwhile, John Summit publicly stated that he would leave the agency as well if Casey Wasserman does not step down as CEO. As a result, pressure continues to mount within the agency’s roster.

Consequently, the situation now extends beyond individual departures and reflects broader tensions inside the electronic music industry. While Wasserman leadership has not announced structural changes, the growing list of exits signals a decisive shift among artists demanding accountability from representation partners.
