TOMORA announce debut album ‘Come Closer’
TOMORA, the new duo formed by AURORA and Tom Rowlands of The Chemical Brothers, have announced their debut album ‘Come Closer’, set for release on April 17 via Fontana. Notably, the 12-track record features debut single ‘Ring The Alarm’, ‘The Thing’, and the newly released title track ‘Come Closer’, which arrives alongside a video directed by Adam Smith and S T A R T !. The album will be available digitally, on CD, standard black vinyl, and a limited-edition colour vinyl.
Meanwhile, TOMORA describe ‘Come Closer’ as a project built without expectation, driven purely by creative instinct. “This is our album ‘Come Closer’, it is everything we dreamt of,” the duo said. “We made it without obligation or expectation, just a joy in creation.” Rather than compromise, the record captures a shared musical space where both artists fully meet, blending electronic experimentation with emotive songwriting across its runtime.
In addition, TOMORA will bring the project to the stage for the first time this March, with debut headline shows at Manchester’s New Century Hall on March 25 and London’s EartH Hackney on March 26. Visual direction for the live shows comes from Adam Smith, a long-time collaborator of The Chemical Brothers and AURORA. Shortly after, TOMORA will make their first festival appearances at Coachella in April, followed by a run of major European festivals throughout the summer.
Ultimately, ‘Come Closer’ introduces TOMORA not as a side project, but as a fully realised collaboration. In an era shaped by algorithms, the album reflects two artists exchanging ideas freely, pushing each other creatively, and building something unmistakably their own. Pre-order the album here.
