Berlin Techno Baby goes viral at Love Parade: Watch
A video of a baby dancing on his father’s shoulders during Rave The Planet in Berlin quickly spread online, capturing attention across the electronic music community.
With headphones on and fully in sync with the music, the child moved effortlessly above a dense crowd, completely unfazed by the scale of the event. As the clip circulated, the internet gave him a name – the “Berlin Techno Baby,” a moment that felt very much in line with the spirit of Berlin’s street rave culture.
At the same time, the setting itself explains why the moment resonated. Rave The Planet launched in 2022 as the modern continuation of the original Love Parade, bringing large-scale techno parades back to Berlin after more than a decade. The first edition took place on July 9, 2022, and since then, the event has returned every summer, usually around the second Saturday of July.
Since its return, the parade has consistently drawn hundreds of thousands of people to the streets. Organized by Dr. Motte, the original founder of Love Parade, the concept combines music with a broader message around culture, recognition, and preservation of electronic music.
Looking ahead, the next editions are already confirmed. The 2025 parade took place on July 12 along Straße des 17. Juni, while the 2026 edition will take place on August 15, slightly shifted due to calendar conflicts. Select 63 more words to run Humanizer. Voice chat ended
In that context, the viral clip makes sense. It’s not just a funny moment – it reflects exactly what these events have always been about: different generations, same music, same streets.
