Bogren Digital
Krimh Drums is a Kontakt Player–compatible drum instrument designed specifically for modern metal production. The library focuses on delivering high-impact, realistic drum performances while maintaining the flexibility needed for MIDI programming inside any DAW.
Recorded by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios
The instrument was produced by renowned metal producer Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios, a studio known for its work with leading metal artists.
Every drum sample in the library was performed and recorded by Kerim Lechner, widely recognized for his work with bands such as Behemoth, Decapitated, and Septicflesh.
The sampling process captures the nuances of Krimh’s drum kit and playing style, helping producers achieve organic-sounding drum performances even when working with programmed MIDI.
Built-In Realism Tools and Effects
Krimh Drums includes advanced algorithms designed to enhance realism in programmed drum parts. These systems introduce natural variations in velocity, timing, and articulation to prevent repetitive or mechanical drum patterns.
The instrument also includes built-in studio processing tools, allowing producers to shape drum tones without leaving the plugin. These tools include:
- Compression
- EQ
- Transient shaping
- Saturation inspired by vintage FET circuits and tape machines
Together, these processors allow users to move quickly from raw drum samples to mix-ready drum tones.
MIDI Grooves and Trigger Support
To help producers build drum arrangements quickly, the library includes over 100 MIDI grooves and fills performed by Krimh. These patterns can be dragged directly into a DAW timeline and used as-is or edited for custom arrangements.
The instrument also includes trigger functionality, enabling users to reinforce kicks and snares with additional samples or import their own one-shot drum hits.
Kontakt Player Compatibility
Krimh Drums runs on the Kontakt Player, meaning it works with the free version of the sampler without requiring the full Kontakt license.
With its combination of high-quality drum sampling, performance-based MIDI grooves, and integrated mixing tools, Krimh Drums aims to deliver realistic, production-ready drums tailored for modern metal music.
The limited-time sale brings the price down to $83.30 until April 6.
