Excite Audio Releases Motion: Fractal – Now $39 in Limited-Time Sale
Audio plugin developer Excite Audio is offering its experimental effects plugin Motion: Fractal for $39, reduced from $79. The 50% discount runs until April 30.
Built for modern sound design and rhythmic processing, Motion: Fractal combines dual granular engines, a trance gate sequencer, and beat-repeat effects to transform static audio into evolving textures and glitch-driven rhythmic patterns.
Dual Granular Engines for Textural Sound Design
At the core of Motion: Fractal are two independent granular engines that can slice incoming audio into tiny grains and rearrange them in real time. Producers can manipulate grain density, size, pitch, and playback behavior to create everything from subtle atmospheric textures to chaotic glitch effects.
Each granular layer can operate in multiple playback modes—including manual scanning, synced offsets, and free-running playback—allowing users to experiment with time-stretching, rhythmic fragments, or evolving granular pads.
Rhythmic Processing with Trance Gate and Beat Repeater
Motion: Fractal also introduces powerful rhythm-shaping tools. A 32-step trance gate sequencer allows producers to create pulsing rhythmic patterns, with adjustable attack and release controls for shaping the groove.
The plugin’s beat repeater module enables dynamic stutter effects with customizable repetition counts, trigger timing, and tempo synchronization, making it suitable for glitch-inspired transitions, fills, and rhythmic manipulation.
Hexagon Controller for Real-Time Sound Morphing
One of the plugin’s standout features is its hexagon-based controller, an advanced evolution of a traditional XY pad. The controller allows users to assign multiple parameters and morph between them in real time simply by moving the cursor across the interface.
This interactive design enables expressive sound shaping without navigating complex menus, making it particularly useful for live sound design and performance workflows.
Flexible Routing and Visual Feedback
Motion: Fractal includes five effect sections—two granular layers, gate, repeat, and space reverb—which can be freely reordered using a routing system that lets users customize the plugin’s signal chain.
The plugin also features a reactive 3D visualizer that responds to incoming audio and parameter movements, providing real-time visual feedback during sound design.
Presets and Additional Tools
The plugin ships with 250 presets, including dual-engine granular presets, effects configurations, and cursor-path performance setups. Additional tools such as macro sliders, audio-reactive envelopes, and customizable cursor paths allow users to automate complex parameter movements over time.
With its combination of granular synthesis, rhythmic sequencing, and interactive control, Motion: Fractal is designed to help producers generate evolving textures, glitch patterns, and modern electronic soundscapes.
The 50% introductory discount remains available until April 30.
