Audio software developer iZotope is offering its creative effects plugin FXEQ for $29, reduced from $55, in a 47% discount available until March 17.

Designed as a hybrid between an equalizer and a multi-effects processor, FXEQ allows producers to shape tone and apply effects simultaneously through an EQ-based workflow. The plugin combines several sound design tools—including saturation, modulation, delay, and reverb—within a single interface.

A New Approach to Effects Processing

Unlike traditional multi-effects plugins, FXEQ lets users apply effects directly through individual EQ bands. Each effect module features its own 6-band equalizer, allowing producers to target specific frequencies and apply processing only where it is needed.

Users can further refine their sound using four filter shapes and adjustable Q controls, making it possible to sculpt both tonal balance and effect intensity in one workflow.

Creative Tone and Texture Tools

FXEQ includes a dedicated Saturation and Texture section designed to add color and character to audio. The plugin offers eight saturation modes that range from subtle analog-style warmth to aggressive distortion.

For lo-fi sound design, the Texture module provides four vintage-style processing modes capable of introducing grit, degradation, and retro tonal character.

Built-In Modulation and Spatial Effects

Beyond tonal shaping, FXEQ also features several modulation and spatial effects. The modulation section includes chorus, flanger, phaser, and doubler effects for creating movement and stereo width.

Additional modules provide three reverb types for spatial depth and four delay types for rhythmic echoes and stereo expansion.

Presets and Workflow Tools

FXEQ includes more than 50 factory presets, helping producers quickly explore creative sound combinations. A random preset selector can generate instant effect chains for experimentation.

The plugin also includes a zero-latency limiter to prevent clipping on the output, as well as an “FX Only” mode that removes the dry signal when using the plugin as a send effect.

With its blend of EQ-based tone shaping and creative effects processing, FXEQ offers a streamlined way to add texture, depth, and movement to mixes.

The limited-time discount runs until March 17.
