Italian festival Kappa FuturFestival has announced the suspension of several artists connected to the ongoing ‘Techno files’ allegations, as organizers move to address growing concerns within the electronic music community. Among the names confirmed as suspended are SHLØMO and CARV, with the decision taking effect immediately while further developments unfold.

According to a statement shared by the festival, organizers have monitored the allegations closely while emphasizing that safety and respect remain core principles of the event. As a result, the team decided to suspend the performances of the artists involved as a precautionary measure. However, the organizers clarified that the move does not represent a final judgment but rather a step aimed at protecting the integrity of the event and maintaining trust within the community.

Kappa FuturFestival emphasizes safety and community trust

“Dear community, we have been closely monitoring the allegations currently circulating regarding some artists featured in our lineup,” the festival wrote in its official statement. “While we are not in a position to determine facts, we recognize our responsibility and have decided to suspend the performances of the artists involved pending further development.”

Meanwhile, Kappa FuturFestival 2026 will still take place from July 3–5 in Turin, with more than 120 artists scheduled to perform across the three-day event. The thirteenth edition continues to highlight a broad spectrum of electronic music, blending global headliners with emerging talent and a strong emphasis on collaborative back-to-back performances.

The lineup features major acts including Amelie Lens, Charlotte de Witte, Four Tet, Skrillex, Peggy Gou, Solomun, Armin van Buuren, Chris Lake, Maceo Plex, and Seth Troxler, among many others. Ranked among the world’s leading electronic festivals and previously named the 6th best festival globally by DJ Mag, Kappa FuturFestival remains one of Europe’s most prominent summer events.

However, organizers confirmed they will continue monitoring the situation closely and will take additional steps if necessary as new information emerges.
