Leapwing Audio StageOne 2 Stereo Imaging Plugin Drops to $149 in Limited-Time Deal

Leapwing Audio has discounted its stereo imaging plugin StageOne 2 to $149, down from $249, as part of a 40% promotion running until March 16.

StageOne 2 is the latest version of Leapwing’s stereo enhancement tool, designed to give producers, mixing engineers, and mastering engineers advanced control over stereo width, depth, and spatial balance. The update introduces a redesigned engine with three-band stereo processing and five specialized algorithms aimed at improving soundstage manipulation.

The plugin’s WIDTH algorithm expands the stereo field by pushing off-center elements outward while preserving the phantom center, maintaining the stability of lead vocals and other center-panned elements. This approach allows mixes to sound wider without compromising mono compatibility.

Another key feature is the DEPTH algorithm, which creates the perception of spatial distance using directionally optimized reflections. This processing adds dimension to mixes and helps place sounds more naturally within a virtual soundstage.

StageOne 2 also includes MONO SPREAD, a dedicated algorithm that converts mono signals into rich pseudo-stereo sources using a specialized filtering design. This can be used to widen mono recordings or push centered elements outward in a stereo mix.

The plugin introduces PHASE RECOVERY, a new algorithm that analyzes and realigns out-of-phase audio components. This process helps reduce phase cancellation and prevents loss of information when a mix is summed to mono.

Another addition is CENTER GRAVITY, which allows engineers to rebalance the stereo image by tilting the mix left or right. This feature can be useful for correcting asymmetrical mixes or making subtle adjustments to overall stereo placement.

StageOne 2 also includes a visualizer that displays stereo movement and spatial changes in real time.

The plugin supports wide DAW compatibility and is designed for both mixing and mastering workflows.
