Moog Mariana bass synth plugin gets 40% discount

The software bass synthesizer Moog Mariana is currently available at a 40% discount, dropping the price to $59 from $99 until May 4.

Developed by Moog Music, Mariana is a modern bass-focused plugin designed to bring the company’s signature low-end character into contemporary digital production workflows.

Inspired by classic Moog bass instruments such as the Minimoog Model D and Minitaur, Mariana combines traditional Moog tone with an expanded digital architecture built specifically for software environments.

At its core, Mariana is a dual-layer synthesizer, allowing producers to combine two independent synth engines. These layers can be stacked for thicker bass textures or played duophonically, giving users more flexibility in sound design. Each layer features two oscillators and a dedicated sub-oscillator, enabling deep bass tones that retain presence in dense mixes.

Sound shaping is handled by two resonant Moog filters, alongside a third filter dedicated to the sub-oscillator. This configuration allows producers to sculpt the tonal balance while maintaining a strong low-frequency foundation.

Mariana also includes a selection of built-in processing tools aimed at enhancing bass impact. Tube, tape, and overdrive saturation, along with a compressor, help add weight and cohesion to bass lines. Additional delay and chorus effects can widen the stereo image while preserving mono compatibility through high-pass filtering.

For modulation, Mariana offers an extensive system with three LFOs, three envelopes, and two random generators per layer, supported by a detailed modulation matrix. Nearly every parameter can be modulated internally or controlled externally via MIDI, MPE, or virtual CV, allowing the plugin to integrate with other Moog software such as the Moogerfooger Effects Plug-ins.

The instrument ships with 200 factory presets, providing starting points across multiple genres while leaving room for deeper sound design.

Mariana runs as a plugin or standalone application on macOS and Windows, making it compatible with most modern DAWs.
