NEST Acoustics DELTA Plugin Now $39 in 33% Off Deal

NEST Acoustics has reduced the price of its creative saturation plugin DELTA to $39, down from $59, as part of a 33% promotion available until March 31.

DELTA introduces an unconventional approach to distortion by using a secondary “ghost” sidechain input to drive harmonic saturation. Instead of directly distorting the incoming signal, the plugin allows one track to influence how distortion is applied to another, creating unique harmonic interactions between elements in a mix.

Sidechain-Driven Saturation

The core concept behind DELTA is sidechain-controlled distortion. A secondary audio signal can be used to modulate the saturation applied to the main signal, allowing producers to hear the tonal impact while keeping the sidechain audio itself silent.

This technique can be used as both a mixing utility and a creative sound design tool, enabling tracks within a session to interact harmonically without relying on traditional bus processing.

Harmonic Intermodulation and Sound Design

By allowing one signal to influence the distortion applied to another, DELTA can generate harmonic intermodulation effects that would not normally occur with conventional saturation plugins. This opens up possibilities for experimental sound design, rhythmic distortion effects, and complex tonal blending between instruments.

Multiple Distortion Models

The plugin includes 10 distortion models, ranging from vintage-style saturation to more aggressive modern distortion types. These modes provide flexibility for subtle harmonic enhancement as well as more extreme creative processing.

Dynamics Control with ENV

DELTA also features an ENV dynamics control that shapes how the main signal responds to the sidechain input. Turning the control in one direction introduces ducking-style behavior, while the opposite direction creates more precise gating-style dynamics driven by the sidechain signal.

Dual-Band Processing

A dual-band processing system allows users to apply different distortion characteristics across frequency ranges. This makes it possible to keep low-end frequencies clean while adding grit to mids and highs, or to shape the spectral balance of distorted signals more precisely.

With its combination of sidechain-driven saturation, multi-band control, and experimental distortion models, DELTA offers a flexible tool for both mixing enhancement and creative sound design.
