Illegal Northamptonshire Barn rave disrupts entire town

While clubs and festivals certainly have the biggest draws and artists, underground raves still deliver a unique thrill and experience that is unmatched. A recent illegal rave in a Northamptonshire Barn caused havoc for members of the community.

When discussing the rave and club scene, it is often associated with cities and abandoned warehouses, a seedy underground that draws all walks of life. That is not always the case, as a small community of 300 citizens found out recently during an illegal rave in a barn. Taking place in a small barn in Northamptonshire, beginning on February 28th, just before 11:20 pm, and continuing until noon the next day, March 1st, drawing ire from many of the neighbors. Reports from the Northamptonshire Chronicle indicate that neighbors called police and interacted via social media throughout the night to report the loud noise. Despite officers being on the scene for most of the 12 hours, they merely worked to prevent further attendees from accessing the property.

The neighbors within range of the noise shared several frustrated yet comical remarks online about the rave. One anonymous neighbor took to Facebook to write, “So all-night rave last night then? I can’t have been the only one to have heard it – the whole of Weedon could I’m sure.” A fellow user responded by saying, It’s some kind of rave happening in a barn in the field next to ours… if you can hear it in Heyford you can probably imagine how loud it is in my house – it’s literally shaking.” While it certainly didn’t make fans of the neighbors, the Northamptonshire Barn certainly left a lasting impact on the community, and its endurance for 12 hours reveals a strong community dedicated to dance music!
