Output Analog Strings virtual instrument gets 50% discount

Music software company Output has launched a limited-time promotion on its hybrid string instrument Analog Strings, reducing the price from $199 to $99. The 50% discount is available until March 22.

Analog Strings is designed as a modern cinematic and electronic string instrument that blends orchestral recordings with vintage synthesizer sources and experimental sound design elements.

At the core of the instrument is a large sample library built from recordings of a 60-piece string orchestra, a 22-piece ensemble, and several soloists captured at Budapest’s BMC Hall. Output also recorded unconventional textures during the sessions, including experimental bow techniques and percussive string sounds, which add a more modern character to the instrument.

Alongside the orchestral recordings, Analog Strings incorporates samples from vintage synthesizers known for their classic string tones. These sounds range from plucked and staccato textures to wide atmospheric pads, allowing producers to blend organic and electronic elements within a single patch.

The instrument also includes a number of creative sound sources such as plucked piano, feedback recordings, tape noise, and processed guitar resonance. These elements help create hybrid sounds that work well in modern film scoring, electronic music, and pop production.

Analog Strings runs on a dual-layer engine, allowing users to combine two sound sources and shape them independently. The instrument features dual arpeggiators, macro controls, layer effects, and global effects, giving producers fast access to key sound-shaping parameters.

The plugin ships with 500 presets and a 39 GB sound library (20 GB compressed), providing a wide range of playable textures and evolving string sounds.

With its combination of orchestral sampling, synth layers, and experimental sound design, Analog Strings offers a flexible tool for creating modern hybrid string textures. The 50% discount is available until March 22.
