The powerful multi-band effects processor Unfiltered Audio TRIAD is currently available for $30, down from $152, as part of an 80% discount running until March 31 on Plugin Alliance.

Developed by Unfiltered Audio, TRIAD expands on the concept introduced in the company’s modular effects platform BYOME. The plugin allows producers to split incoming audio into three independent frequency bands and process each band with its own chain of effects.

Three-Band Modular Processing

At the core of TRIAD is a frequency splitter that separates audio into low, mid, and high bands. Each band can host its own modular effect chain, making it possible to apply different delays, distortions, reverbs, pitch shifting, or modulation effects across different parts of the frequency spectrum.

This approach enables advanced workflows such as multi-band compression, frequency-dependent reverb, or targeted distortion, allowing producers to shape sounds with greater precision.

Even without additional effects, TRIAD can function as a flat-sum frequency splitter with adjustable crossover points and independent gain controls for each band.

Flexible Signal Routing Modes

Beyond standard frequency splitting, TRIAD also supports multiple routing configurations including Mid-Side processing, Left-Right channel splitting, and parallel or serial signal paths.

A built-in FFT visualizer provides real-time feedback on frequency distribution and allows users to adjust band cutoffs directly from the interface. Tools such as Auto Cutoff and Unity Gain help maintain balanced levels across all frequency bands.

Workflow Tools for Fast Sound Design

TRIAD includes a Permutation engine that allows users to instantly swap effect chains between bands. For example, a delay effect applied to the mid band can quickly be moved to the high band without rebuilding the entire preset.

Additional workflow features include per-row preset loading, copy and paste functionality, band solo/mute controls, and adjustable crossover slopes ranging from 12 dB to 72 dB per octave.

Because the plugin loads all presets from BYOME, users gain access to a large library of modular effect configurations that can be applied across TRIAD’s three-band architecture.

With its combination of modular effects processing, multi-band routing, and advanced modulation, TRIAD offers a flexible platform for both mixing and experimental sound design.
