Rhodes V8 Pro Virtual Instrument Gets 40% Discount, Now $179.97

Rhodes has discounted its flagship software instrument Rhodes V8 Pro to $179.97, down from $299.95, as part of a 40% off promotion running until March 22.

Rhodes V8 Pro is the first official virtual instrument released by Rhodes, recreating the sound and performance characteristics of the modern Rhodes MK8 electric piano. Designed for studio production and live performance, the plugin combines deep multisampling with advanced physical modeling to deliver an authentic Rhodes playing experience.

The instrument library was created from over 30,000 samples captured directly from the MK8 piano at 96 kHz / 24-bit resolution. The engine supports up to 127 velocity layers, along with 14 articulations, including sustains, staccatos, legato transitions, note-off sounds, sympathetic resonance, and mechanical noises. This approach allows the plugin to reproduce the subtle dynamics and tonal variations associated with real Rhodes instruments.

The V8 Pro Edition expands the standard version with a detailed recreation of the MK8’s onboard effects circuitry. These include a VCA compressor, phaser, bucket-brigade chorus, and delay, along with a diode-based drive stage for saturated and distorted tones.

Users can shape sounds through multiple interface views. The Main View provides quick tone adjustments and features the MK8-style preamp and effects layout, including a stereo Vari-Pan modulation effect with four waveform options. The Setup View allows per-note editing of timbre, damper behavior, tuning, and level for detailed instrument customization. Meanwhile, the Detail View offers deeper sound design tools, including amp and cabinet simulations, microphone selections, mechanical noise control, and profile EQ.

Rhodes V8 Pro ships with 208 factory presets and 120 performance profiles, many created by professional producers and artists. The complete library originally recorded at roughly 60 GB is reduced to about 22 GB on disk through lossless compression.

With its official branding, deep sampling, and modeling engine, Rhodes V8 Pro aims to deliver what the company calls “The True Rhodes Sound” in software form.

The 40% discount is available until March 22, bringing the price down to $179.97 for a limited time.
