The return of EPIC Radio: Eric Prydz opens up on new music, touring & future plans
Opening up on a vast array of topics, Eric Prydz marked the return of his EPIC Radio with an in-depth interview that should not go amiss.
Returning after a five-year hiatus, EPIC Radio by the one and only Eric Prydz was officially relaunched on 5th March, with the man himself providing us all with an in-depth interview on what the future holds. Opening up on new music, touring, fear of flights, playing ‘Call On Me’ in a live setting again, and so much more, this truly was a remarkable insight into his life’s journey and beyond, for that matter, in fact.
Conveying a clear focus on 2026 and his artistic direction, Prydz has opted to limit the time of his touring, and in turn, spend more time in the studio as “I still have so much I want to tell musically.” Igniting that spark as a whole, the Swedish legend also looked back on playing ‘Call On Me’ after more than two decades, resulting in: “It was fun hearing it again in a club environment… it gave me a little nostalgic, goosebump moment.”
Moreover, Prydz also opened up about his own life experiences and his fear of flights in particular, making it now clear that “I don’t mind flying anymore, to be honest,” and that “I actually kind of enjoy it.” A major change in his outlook towards flying and travel in general, this insight further adds to his current outlook on life and work as a whole, with every single aspect of this interview being a clear indication of what’s to come next.
The ultimate way to mark the return of EPIC Radio, Prydz has made it more than clear that “I just want to make sure that I release a lot of music… that’s the goal,” and we of course, are all for it. Insightful in more ways than one, you can check out all our favourite moments below, whilst the complete interview can be found on Prydz’s official YouTube channel here.
