UJAM BRUTE Virtual Drummer Gets 75% Discount, Now Available for $29

Music software developer UJAM has announced a major discount on its rock-focused drum instrument BRUTE. The plugin is currently available for $29, down from its regular price of $119, offering a 75% discount until May 3.

UJAM Virtual Drummer BRUTE is designed for producers working in rock, grunge, punk, and crossover genres. The plugin captures the aggressive drum sounds that defined the alternative rock movement of the 1990s. That era saw bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and Rage Against the Machine reshape guitar-driven music with raw energy and heavy drums.

BRUTE focuses on drums that can cut through dense mixes filled with distorted guitars. UJAM recorded the instrument using three different microphone setups to capture distinct tonal characteristics. Producers can blend these signals using two key controls.

The Smack control boosts attack and transient detail to help drums stand out in the mix. The Grit control blends between clean and dirty microphone recordings, allowing users to dial in anything from polished rock drums to gritty punk textures.

The plugin includes five drum kits, each tailored to a different rock style. These include DARK for stoner rock tones, DIRTY for punchy punk drums, TIGHT for crossover and detailed playing, NOBLE for alternative rock anthems, and PRIME for modern stadium rock productions.

To speed up workflow, BRUTE also provides 31 playing styles with 23 phrases each, giving producers access to over 700 ready-made drum patterns. Six mix presets further shape the sound with different compression, saturation, and tonal profiles.

Like other instruments in the UJAM Virtual Drummer lineup, BRUTE aims to make realistic drum production fast and simple, even for users without advanced drum programming skills.
