Wavesfactory Spectre combines a graphical parametric EQ with advanced harmonic enhancement. Unlike a traditional EQ, Spectre does not simply boost or cut frequencies. It generates new harmonic content in specific frequency bands, adding color, warmth, and character where you need it.

Spectre uses a five-band parallel EQ structure. It extracts the difference between the processed EQ signal and the dry input, then runs that difference through one of ten saturation algorithms. The processed signal blends back with the original audio, resulting in enhanced lows, richer mids, and shimmering highs without sounding overprocessed.

The plug-in includes ten saturation types, including Tube, Tape, Diode, Digital, Bit, and Rectify modes. A Clean mode is also available, turning Spectre into a transparent parallel EQ for subtle tonal shaping. Users can select subtle, medium, or aggressive saturation levels depending on the application.

Spectre works on individual tracks, buses, or full mixes. It also supports mid/side processing, left or right channel processing, and mono or stereo signals per band. Optional 4x and 16x oversampling modes reduce aliasing, even with heavy saturation.
