Anjuna launches new vinyl-only archive series digging deep into their vaults
Anjuna is digging into the vaults with the launch of Archive, a brand new vinyl-only series celebrating the best of their 26-year history.
Anjuna has announced something special for fans of the labels – They’re launching a brand new vinyl-only imprint called ‘Archive’. It’s exactly what it sounds like.
The series is dedicated to spotlighting classic records from across the labels’ 26-year history. So if you’ve been sleeping on the Anjuna back catalogue, now’s your chance to catch up. In style.
Both Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep are represented with their own opening releases. Each title has been remastered specifically for vinyl, which is a nice touch. They’re pressed on black 12″ vinyl and housed in premium reverseboard outer sleeves with spot gloss detailing. In other words, these look as good as they sound.
Anjunabeats Archive 01 opens with Above & Beyond and Zoe Johnston’s ‘No One On Earth’, remixed by Gabriel & Dresden. It also features Nitromethane’s ‘Time To Die’ in a Seraque Remix, plus Aalto and Sunny Lax rounding out the record. A solid selection of era-defining tracks.
Meanwhile, Anjunadeep Archive 01 goes equally deep. Highlights include Jaytechmusic’s ‘Pepe’s Garden’, Johan Vermeulen’s ‘Do Not Cross’, and Paul Keeley’s ‘Paper Jet’. There are five tracks in total on that side.
Both titles are available now through the Anjuna Music Store. You can pick them up individually or as a bundle. However, stock is limited, so don’t hang around.
The Archive series feels like a love letter to long-time fans. It’s also a brilliant way to introduce newer listeners to what made these labels iconic. Hopefully this is just the beginning.
