Anyma releases ÆDEN documentary on Coachella 2026 creative process
Anyma has released a short documentary that pulls back the curtain on the creative process behind his 2026 Coachella headline performance. Notably, the film tracks the build of his ÆDEN show from concept to mainstage, capturing the audiovisual ambition that defined the project.
The documentary arrives in collaboration with Google’s Gemini. Meanwhile, the film positions ÆDEN as a fully synchronised audiovisual experience that extends well beyond a standard DJ set. In turn, the visual ambition becomes as central to the project as the music.
AI plays a key role in the build. Crucially, the documentary explains how the team mapped visuals to sound, refined transitions and pre-visualised how massive LED environments would respond in real time. Furthermore, the AI-driven workflow let the production scale to Coachella’s mainstage without losing precision.
The Coachella debut of ÆDEN did not go to plan on Weekend One. Strong winds at the Coachella Valley site climbed past 35 mph. As a result, organisers scrapped the headline set 15 minutes after its scheduled midnight slot. The full production setup was unsafe to run.
Equally, Weekend Two delivered the redemption. Anyma performed his ÆDEN show in full on the Coachella mainstage on Friday, April 17. The documentary captures both the collapse and the comeback, framing the second weekend as the project’s real launch moment.
Still, the film also doubles as a making-of for the wider ÆDEN tour. The Italian producer has already taken the show across Coachella’s two weekends and into a London takeover at Silverworks Island this June. Moreover, the documentary contextualises the project as a long-form world rather than a one-off festival headline.
The ÆDEN visual lineage runs through Anyma’s wider output. In short, Coachella 2026 marks one of the most technically ambitious electronic mainstage productions of recent years.
Finally, the Anyma ÆDEN documentary is live now and continues the rollout of the producer’s biggest creative cycle to date.
