The legacy of Avicii continues to resonate with fans around the world, and now visitors to the Avicii Experience in Stockholm can see one of the most personal instruments from the late producer’s creative life.

A Steinway & Sons piano that once stood in Tim Bergling’s Hollywood Hills home has officially gone on display at the museum dedicated to his life and music.

For Avicii, melody always came first. Although he initially built his global success through laptop-based production, he later turned increasingly toward the piano when developing new ideas. The instrument became a central part of his songwriting process, allowing melodies to stand on their own before he layered them into full electronic productions.

After stepping away from touring in 2016, Tim Bergling focused more deeply on his creative work. During that period, the piano helped shape the melodic foundations behind many of his later musical explorations.

Now preserved at the Avicii Experience, the instrument offers fans a powerful glimpse into the producer’s artistic journey. The museum, which opened in 2022, celebrates Avicii’s life, career, and influence through interactive installations, personal memorabilia, and previously unseen creative artifacts.

By showcasing the piano that played such a meaningful role in his process, the exhibition allows visitors to connect with the emotional core behind Avicii’s music – the melodies that first began as simple notes before evolving into songs that defined a generation of electronic dance music.
