BICEP’s signed MB33 synth is up for auction
Youth Music has launched its first-ever fundraising auction as part of its ongoing Rescue the Roots campaign. Part of the listing is a rare piece of gear: a signed MAM Systems MB 33 Retro synthesiser from iconic duo BICEP.
The MB 33 Retro is a compact analogue bass synthesiser inspired by the classic Roland TB-303 architecture. It’s a monophonic instrument built for crafting punchy, squelchy basslines using simple, hands-on controls. Lacking a built-in sequencer, it relies on external MIDI gear or a DAW for programming patterns.
Part of the auction includes:
- Custom-made Dr. Martens Jukebox by Sound Leisure,
- AlphaTheta X ELIJAH Limited Edition Omnis-Duo,
- Signed merch by Arctic Monkeys
- Signed merch by BICEP
- Premium experiences.
The auction, running for a limited window, directs 100% of proceeds toward addressing this issue.
