Carl Craig reissues ambient album ‘Meditations’ for digital debut on Planet E

Carl Craig has reissued his ambient opus ‘Meditations‘ on his Planet E Communications imprint, marking the first time the project lands fully on digital platforms. The Detroit techno innovator dropped the reissue on Friday. Notably, a limited C60 cassette edition lives exclusively through the Planet E webstore and Bandcamp.

The album sits in a distinct corner of Carl Craig’s catalogue. Meanwhile, the six-track suite of beatless compositions connects his Detroit techno foundations to the wider multidisciplinary work he has built across his career. Orchestral collaborations and large-scale installations all share the same conceptual roots as ‘Meditations’.
